  1. My family and I recently returned from a 2 week vacation in Israel. The reservation process was easy and i really trusted the owner. Once we landed, i had a voice mail from the owner stating that the apartment we rented had an unexpected huge huge leak and we were not able to stay. They also had no other accommodation for us! You can imagine after a long flight, us and our kids were exhausted.

We were promised a refund but at that moment we were really stuck and had to search for another rental. We ended up staying at a hotel which was so much more expensive!! A hotel was not even our first choice as we love private vacation apartments since i can cook meals for our children.

I really should have done a little more research before reserving. In the future I will only rent from a real company which owns their vacation apartments/homes.

  2. We also had a similar issue as the previous comment. Once we checked in to the apartment, the AC was not working at all! It was unbearable during the Summer heat in Israel. I contacted the apartment owner and they were only able to send a repairman 2 days after we arrived. You can imagine sleeping in such heat it was not easy at all.

  3. We just returned from an amazing trip in Israel! One of my closest friends recommended a private one bedroom apartment in Tel-Aviv about 5 minutes from the ocean. I trusted this rental since she said that their experience was great and smooth. Check-in was easy and fast. The only negative thing was that we requested a top floor as I wanted somewhat of an ocean view. The top floors were fully booked, of course the views are amazing!.

When we arrived they only had an apartment for us on the second floor. Not that much of a big deal but still we wanted that incredible vacation view!

  4. From my past experience, I suggest to all clients to do as much research as possible! I stayed at private apartment last Summer and overall I just had such a bad experience!

  5. I had an experience with Air B&B once and it was less than stellar. The apartment we stayed in was the opposite of what was described on the site.
My family and I then stayed at Israeli Vacation Homes and could not have had a better experience. From the reservation process to the actual stay, everything was flawless and my kids LOVED being so close to the beach in a great apartment. Every time we go back to Israel, we'll be staying here!

  7. Always always make sure that you do enough research before sending money and booking and apartment! Speak to the owners if possible and ask all the questions you may have!
