I believe there are many advantages when choosing to stay at privately owned vacation apartments vs. Hotels. Below, are a few examples and points of my personal experiences in the travel industry.
Many travelers desire to stay in a much larger space during their vacation, such as a duplex apartment as compared to an average sized hotel room. With a larger space, families with children can stay in a comfortable setting. Many guests benefit from their large space, by hosting a dinner event for their family members and friends.
A lot of private owned vacation apartments include a fully equipped kitchen. Some items include a stove, refrigerator, oven, plates/utensils, dishwasher and sink. With these appliances available, guests can make their own meals instead of spending money at a local restaurant a few times a day.
Regarding costs and discounts, private vacation rentals offer nightly discounted rates. Many offer a discount on 7 nights or more and monthly discounts which hotels might not offer to their guests.
Some hotel amenities require an additional cost in addition to the nightly rate. Private vacation rentals offer free incentives such as parking, high chairs, foldaway cots, wire and wireless internet and highchairs.

My family and I definitely enjoy staying at a private vacation home as compared to a standard hotel. I personally do not mind that we do not receive hotel services such as daily room cleaning or room service. I myself enjoy having an equipped kitchen so that I can cook breakfast and lunch for my family. I find this very convenient and we can save money on all those outside restaurant meals!!

ReplyDeleteI travel to Israel (Hertzelia Pituach) with my husband and three children annually. We enjoy splitting our time staying with family and then staying at a vacation apartment close by. This way, we all can enjoy the amenities of having an outdoor pool, fully equipped kitchen and a vacation spot atmosphere. We also love having the option to invite our parents to visit us at the apartment. This way, we can spend time together at the pool and even at the apartment, since there is a huge living room and dining area for entertaining.
We once stayed at a hotel but ever since we gave a private vacation home a try, we would not go back to a hotel!! I highly recommend staying at a private vacation home. You and your family will enjoy it!
I myself prefer to stay at a private vacation apartment as compared to those small hotel rooms! I love all the features a private apartment has such as the huge space, balcony/terrace and kitchen use. In a hotel 'suite' you do get a kitchen but it won't be a decent size and the rate will be much much more! Definitely love private vacation apartments and will not return to a hotel!
