The supply of individual privately owned apartments
available for short term rental is rapidly growing at a crazy rate with many
new apartments offered online. The effect of this expanding shared
economy on the short term- vacation rental housing has been significant and meaningful. After the initial welcoming response of many of the Travelers, who were happy
to share and use these lower cost hosting options, we are slowly experiencing
some more realistic reactions to this phenomenon with more and more accurate
feedback and opinions evidently showing these privately owned properties can be
problematic and tricky.
